Volunteer Spotlight:

Coco Lefkowitz

Gabrielle “Coco” Lefkowitz grew up the youngest of 8 children in a South Jersey beach town. The fact that she would opt to have 6 children of her own might not be a surprise, but the way she had them is certainly unusual.

Coco and her husband Bruce who live in Purchase, NY are the proud parents of 10-year old quadruplets and 6-year old twins! Coco, who has lived in Westchester for 19 years, has always valued being an active part of her community.

When Coco was first introduced to CHC by friends, she knew that the organization was one she wanted to get involved with.

“I was immediately impressed by the grassroots nature of the effort and the selfless dedication I saw in the Board members."

"There are plenty of places that one could write a check and feel like they contributed. CHC offers the chance to roll up your sleeves and get involved. The fact that CHC was directed at children and families also struck a chord. Bruce and I know how lucky we have been, so blessed with wonderful children who are extremely fortunate."

“CHC offers us a great opportunity to teach our kids about the importance of appreciating how fortunate they are and giving back to the community. Working with CHC has truly been one of the most fulfilling experiences that I have ever had and I look forward to us accomplishing even greater things in the future.”
